Our Schemes Support Home Scheme Our staff and volunteers offer core services alongside a choice of activities which stimulate and promote holistic wellbeing. 24 Hour Scheme These schemes are for those who need extra support. There are staff on site 24 hours a day seven days a week. Community Scheme Our community schemes have dedicated staff on site Monday to Sunday. Independent Scheme Most of our ‘Independent’ schemes are made up of self-contained accommodation. Staff provide regular floating support. Albany Housing Trust are a not for profit supported accommodation provider where the majority of our properties are shared houses, where depending on the size of the property you may have between 2-5 clients living in a property together having exclusive and sole access to their own private bedroom whilst sharing the kitchen, bathroom and communal areas such as the garden and living/dining room. The clients in all our accommodations have various support needs which have acted as a barrier to entry when it comes to finding settled accommodation, applying for disability welfare benefits, obtaining job opportunities, accessing education and training programs, being able to access medical and holistic treatment as well as other free local services including mental health. For several of our service users this is a vital part of their housing journey and working collaboratively is necessary to the delivery of complex care needs. Why Choose Us Albany’s Volunteering Scheme We pride ourselves on consistently providing our tenants with purposeful activities, where they are able to put their many skills to use whether it be painting and decoration, carrying out office duties, gardening skills to name a few. Albany’s summer BBQ Our summer BBQ went down a treat, with lots of yummy food and drink and an opportunity for our service users to meet and greet each other. Albany Albany have been working with the local community to establish our very own food bank to support our clients, here is some food donated from our staff which became essential during the recent Covid-19 pandemic. Meeting Tenant involvement is key at Albany, our committee meeting is held every month, where we discuss current affairs and any other issues within the organisation. AF After 18 months with Albany Housing Trust AF handed back his keys and moved into his own accommodation. We are so proud of you AF and wish you happiness in your new home. R and J R and J recently carried out some volunteer work together, they have now become good friends and intend to keep in contact and support one another, this in effect eases isolation. CS CS has recently enrolled on a budgeting and finance course where he attends the office weekly to have access to our computers. All clients are welcome to access head office facilities subject to availability. AI Albany have really helped me, they are so supportive. I started in a 4 bedroom shared property now I am living in a 1 bedroom apartment by myself; this is all thanks to Albany. I am so happy at Albany because of them I am living independently.. CS and MS CS and MS recently moved into a property together, they have become great friends and regularly support each other, building communities. DF Albany are great, very supportive.
