Volunteering
Share a skill. Build experience. Make a difference.
Albany volunteers come from the local community, from people seeking work experience and from residents who want to put their own skills to use.

What volunteers can do
- Build professional relationships with residents
- Support recovery through engagement and empowerment
- Organise one-to-one sessions and peer groups
- Run art, cooking and practical skills workshops
- Support day trips, education and vocational opportunities
- Shadow and assist experienced staff
- Help with gardening, painting, decorating or office work
Volunteers receive training in induction, person-centred recovery, empowerment, decision making, self-esteem and motivational interviewing. Travel and food expenses are paid.
