Offering a safe, stable, and supportive living environment for young people aged 16 to 25 who have previously been in care. We offer support from our supported housing service that allows us to administer the transition to living independently by providing semi-independent accommodation which prepares and creates a journey for a young person to manage their own tenancy in the future. We offer semi-independent accommodation , designed to bridge the gap between care and full independence, helping young people build confidence, life skills, and a strong foundation for their future. Our housing solutions not only provide a secure place to live but also foster personal growth and self-sufficiency. We empower young residents by offering guidance, mentorship, and practical support to help them navigate education, employment, and everyday life challenges. At Albany Housing YP, we believe that every young person deserves a safe home and a chance to shape their own future. By creating a nurturing space with tailored support, we help residents transition smoothly into independent living with confidence and stability Our Services Benefit Support Working with our service users to ensure that they receive the correct amount of benefits like universal credit, personal independence payment and housing benefit. Mental Health Support Assisting our service users with helping them to access mental health services and emotional support services. 24 Hour Service Ensuring 24-hour surveillance/floating concierge services. Independant Living Skills Support with budgeting and money management, cooking and meal planning, household maintenance, personal hygiene and self-care, time management, and effective communication. They also involve navigating employment, education, and healthcare systems. Moving In We understand that moving can be a challenging experience. Rest assured, our dedicated staff are here to ensure you feel supported and comfortable throughout your stay with us. To help you settle in smoothly, we will provide the following essentials prior to your move: • A bed base and mattress • Chest of drawers • Wardrobe • A brand-new bedding set, including a duvet and pillows • Cooking utensils, such as pots and pans • Access to essential appliances, including a microwave, kettle, and toaster • Mugs, glasses, plates, bowls, and other dining essentials Once you are settled, your allocated support worker will work closely with you to develop a personalized care and support plan. Together, you will set achievable goals to help you on your journey. Please rest assured that this plan is entirely private and will not be shared with others within your home. Testimonials My experience before moving to Albany Housing was okay, there were some uncomfortable experiences when I lived in Lambeth, I felt unsafe there. I explained my concerns to my social worker who was based at Lambeth Council, who referred me to Albany Housing Trust. I came to look at the property at first with my social worker and liked it straight away. It was smooth sailing after the assessment interview. They said I was successful then I moved in. Where the property is, is quite peaceful. The property I moved into is self-contained with its own kitchen and shower room, just right for me and I feel pretty safe. The buses run quite frequently, and the flat is near local shops and Croydon Town centre. I am very grateful to Albany Housing for letting me stay in their property and giving me an opportunity for a second chance and my safety. The communication has been excellent and the support that Albany Housing provide to them as a care provider and the tenants is so much more over and above to that which we receive from other Supported Housing Providers LAS I have been doing work experience with Albany, I haven't been here for a long time, but every one has been making me feel welcomed. I get help when I need it and all of the staff members are compassionate with what they do; helping me fit in, teaching me life skills and they are actually caring, it's like a sense of family here. My first maintenance project experience on Lambeth Road wasn't difficult as I had help from Joe, one of the maintenance workers, when I needed help or had questions I got the help I needed.
